Preaching the importance of emergency preparedness.
Preparedness song ignites spirits and safety. Click to listen and smile!
It's wasn't raining, as you know...so we suggest you go ahead and build that ark-shaped emergency preparedness kit. You'll be singing praises loudly that you did.
At Ready Shelby, we recognize the vital role local congregations can play in spreading the message of emergency preparedness. After all, places of worship are often the first places people gather following a community-wide crisis. That's why we are challenging faith-based organizations to get their members and neighbors emergency prepared by following these important steps:
Five simple steps
- Create a family communication plan … where to meet, who to call, who’s picking up the kids, etc.
- Determine your safe place at home, at work, at church, etc.
- Pack an emergency kit and first aid kit.
- Learn compression-only CPR.
- Participate in free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.
